Kilani Essence is the work of Australian founder Yusef Kilani, whose connection to scent is rooted in family tradition and the rich sensory world he grew up in.
His fragrances draw from a heritage shaped by the Middle East and Australia — two places with their own textures, rituals, and emotional connections. That fusion gives Kilani Essence its signature presence: elegant, resonant, and grounded in authenticity rather than fleeting trends.
These perfumes feel like moments captured in scent: oud glowing softly in the evening air, citrus lifting warm breezes, jasmine unfolding at dusk, spices simmering with quiet depth.

Our favourites - Uncharted opens in a burst of citrus — lemon, lime and mandarin — bright, sharp and alive. As it develops, resins and incense begin to glow: elemi, olibanum and Omani frankincense adding a sacred, smoky depth. Cade, vetiver and guaiac wood anchor the drydown, giving a charred, woody backbone while the citrus still flickers through.
Yusef’s approach is meticulous: tinctures, resins and carefully chosen synthetics are layered with intention so each perfume moves with clarity from top to base. There’s a sense of structure in the way his fragrances develop — no clutter, just considered transitions and materials chosen for both performance and character.
