Australian fragrances
Two countries. Two people. One fragrance house built around doing things differently.

JA’PAUS feels like something truly fresh and unique - melding the best of two cultures and celebrating it in fragrance.
Founded in 2026, the house launched with a tight collection rather than trying to cover every fragrance category at once. Inspired by Australia and Japan, the presentation is clean, modern and deliberately premium, but the scents themselves stay easy to understand and easy to wear.
There’s a strong contrast running through the range: sweetness against freshness, softness against presence, familiar materials presented with just enough of a twist.
FORTY-TWO is probably the clearest example. Fig, suede and vanilla give it a smooth, airy sweetness without turning it into a heavy gourmand.
Infinite Alluré moves in the other direction: aquatic, floral and fresh, with a cleaner, more restrained classic character.
Then L’Éternité brings more weight, pairing classic floral character with white oud for something darker and more assertive.
FORTY-TWO - Fig, suede and vanilla. Sweet, smooth and polished without becoming dense. In a fragrance scene where vanilla feels overdone, this one gets the balance right. There's just something very uplifting and moorish that brings us back.

JA’PAUS isn’t simply a mash-up of Japanese and Australian aesthetics.
The name carries the story of the people behind it.
“JA” belongs to Aki. “PAUS” belongs to Jimmy. The apostrophe represents the pause between them. Japan and Australia become part of the same identity.
That idea of two influences meeting in the middle suits the fragrances too.
They’re contemporary without being overly trend-driven. Polished without becoming sterile. Accessible, but still designed to feel like something beyond the mainstream fragrance counter.
It’s a young Australian house, but there’s already a clear idea behind it: create something of its own rather than reproduce what already exists
